FOCUS-ON is built on the experience of the SAMSON and KROHNE companies. SAMSON, founded in 1907 in Neuss, Germany, is a specialist in control valves for the process industry. Also originating in flow technology, KROHNE was founded in 1921 in Duisburg, Germany and specializes in process instrumentation. World-class engineering expertise providing a broad product range, extensive sales and service network through many local entities, and commitment to continuity through a family-owned business environment is the common DNA of both the companies. Even though close cooperation had been ongoing between the companies since years in many areas, it was in 2017 that the CEOs of both companies, Dr. Andreas Widl (SAMSON) and Stephan Neuburger (KROHNE) took the first steps towards an extensive collaboration. This autumn day was the start of our ambitious project – FOCUS, which later evolved into a joint-venture company, FOCUS-ON VoF. FOCUS-ON combines the experience, knowledge, and network of the valve specialist and the instrumentation specialist into a revolutionary idea (and product) that is supported by a culture built on understanding customer’s needs, fostering partnerships, and driving improvement in process industry, while still acting as a close-knit family.

Free Float® Steam Traps for Process Use JX series steam traps can be installed on various types of equipment that uses steam as a heat source. The series covers a wide range of condensate loads, from the 100’s of kg/h to several 10’s of tons/h, making this TLV's most widely used series of steam traps. In addition to offering compact size, continuous discharge of condensate, and large condensate discharge capacities, these steam traps are equipped with an X-element air-vent that provides a powerful automatic blow-out function. All these qualities gathered in one trap make the JX series ideal for steam-using equipment.

VARIAIR FREQUENCY INVERTER BY BECKER Becker’s VARIAIR frequency inverters considerably increase the performance characteristics of vacuum pumps and compressors, adapting them precisely to customer requirements. Energy consumption is optimised and constant pressure ensured, even with varying or heavily fluctuating air demand. Noise emissions, such as unneeded suction or blowing noises when expelling surplus air, have been eliminated. The pumps’ soft start reduces wear on mechanical components and increases service life. The variable performance range of VARIAIR vacuum pumps and compressors helps to reduce the need for a broad model range.

The gasket consists of lamellas of stainless steel sheet discs and graphite. The stainless steel coating on the outside is flanged on the inside and PTFE-coated. The gasket is mechanically very stable and offers perfect handling during assembly and disassembly. You save valuable working time.
