As an event organizer, we attach great importance to sustainability. We act in an environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner. We take a variety of measures and also support our partners in their activities.

We make our trade fairs effective and responsible events for our community.
Easyfairs is committed to organizing the fair in an environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner:

Our sustainability measures are constantly being adapted and supplemented!
As part of the Easyfairs Group, we are a member of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge and are committed to being Net Zero by 2050 and halving our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
Our most important initiatives
Energy
The venue relies on energy-efficient measures, generates renewable energy using solar panels and implements water-saving systems.
Successful implementation of PUMPS & VALVES
- We limit our energy consumption by strictly controlling lighting, heating and HVAC systems.
- The venue and stands are equipped with LED lighting.
Arrival & accommodation
We minimize travel emissions and select our preferred accommodation providers based on sustainability criteria.

- The venue is equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles.
- The venue has parking for bicycles.
- We recommend that you do not use your car to get there and instead use public transport or alternatives.
- If this is not possible, we recommend carpooling.
- The trade fair team forms carpools and/or uses public transport.
Freight & Logistics
Our all-in stand package reduces transport emissions and waste. We also carefully select our suppliers based on sustainability criteria.

- We apply sustainability criteria in contracts and tenders (RFP = Request for Proposal).
- We select our suppliers based on sustainable transport criteria.
- With our all-in stand package, we reduce individual transport costs to a great extent.
Production & waste
We have implemented a stringent waste management and reduction plan while limiting the use of plastic at our events.
Successful implementation of PUMPS & VALVES
- We sort the waste generated at our events.
- We do not use aisle carpets (approx. 600 sqm disposable carpet).
- Our smart badge technology enables our exhibitors to significantly reduce paper consumption.
- More than 95% of the total stand area is made up of reusable stand structures.
- For our events, we do not use printed trade fair guides and instead rely on a trade fair app with all relevant information.
- PET bottles and corresponding collection containers are available at all catering stations controlled by Easyfairs.
- In our trade fair signage we use recycled and/or reusable materials wherever possible.
Food & food waste
We integrate sustainable principles into the food procurement of our catering stations and strive to reduce food waste.
Successful implementation of PUMPS & VALVES
- We ask our suppliers to check portion sizes at catering points to avoid waste.
- All catering outlets controlled by Easyfairs offer vegetarian options.
- Red meat is deliberately avoided at all catering locations controlled by Easyfairs.
Social responsibility
We strive to be an inclusive team, promote diversity, create equal opportunities for all and consistently place sustainability at the focus of our event.

- We actively promote diversity and equal opportunities within the team.
- We ensure that our events are accessible to people with disabilities.
- The supporting programme includes the topics of sustainability and social issues.
- Our team is involved on behalf of our exhibitors in a tree planting event in cooperation with MYBLUEPLANET (Treebooking).
- By participating in the "Run for the Planet" we motivate our community to donate to good causes.

When you exhibit at the fair, you play an important role in shaping a sustainable event. Here are some practical tips on how you can make your participation more sustainable:
If possible, choose public transportation or carpool with your colleagues.
Choose a hotel that is within walking distance and/or uses environmentally friendly practices.
Consolidate your shipments and preferably use transport and logistics companies that use sustainable methods.
Give preference to local suppliers in order to support the local economy and reduce transportation routes.
Give preference to suppliers who meet ecological and social criteria.
When serving food at your stand, preferably choose local and plant-based products and avoid using single-use plastic.
Avoid wasting food and only order the quantity you need.
Take an active part in the initiatives and discussions during the event that will support the sustainable development of your sector.
Inspire visitors by showcasing the sustainable features of your products.
Take advantage of our all-in stand package and the numerous customization options.
Do without printed information material. Take advantage of our smart badge technology (storage of documents and information) and actively encourage trade visitors to scan their smart badge reader on the stand.
If printed material cannot be avoided in individual cases, make sure you use reusable materials (without date).

Choose a reusable all-in stand model from the organizer or design your own stand so that the structure can be reused multiple times year after year. Work with your stand builder to make your stand as sustainable as possible! Avoid building a disposable stand just for one event…
Create reusable signage (without dates) using recyclable materials and eco-friendly ink where possible
Use LED lighting and other energy efficient devices for your stand and don’t forget to turn them off at the end of the day.
Try not to use carpet and if you really need it, preferably choose reusable carpet tiles. If you use normal carpeting, make sure it is recyclable and recycled.
