Gear pumps are reversible positive displacement pumps capable of pumping low- to high-viscosity media without hard particles. They are characterized by their precise metering and reliability at low to high pressures. Furthermore, they are very compact, guarantee a non-pulsating flow rate, and are resistant to high temperatures. There are two main types: external and internal gear pumps.
