Safety valves for hydrogen applications
More than 600 billion cubic meters of hydrogen are produced each year world-wide for the process industry. The technology for using hydrogen as an energy source in combustion engines or via fuel cells is now ready to replace petroleum products in the future. The advantages of hydrogen as an energy carrier are: • Neutral CO2-footprint • Flexible energy storage: in liquid or gaseous form • Power to X: flexible us as an energy supplier in fuel cells, fuel in combustion engines and as a coke substitute in steel production. With the addition of CO2, it can also be used as a fuel and combustible. Technical challenge for safety valves in hydrogen applications: • Storage and transport of hydrogen cryogenic (up to -253 °C) • in refuelling systems pressures of up to 900 bar for cold liquefied hydrogen, in future up to 900 bar • Use of materials being insensitive to hydrogen embrittlement Recommendation: • Austenitic steels (1.4404, 1.4408) for wetted parts • stellited discs and nozzles for cryogenic temperatures (from 150°C to absolute zero) for best sealing results

Screw pumps

SeccoLip – For agitators, mixers and reactors
For optimal results In machines and plants, shaft seals are continuously subjected to forces of varying strength and direction during operation. Typical lip seals have a difficult time coping with such conditions. Increased wear, contamination due to leakage that can reduce quality or even a costly seal replacement – all this is avoidable. The SeccoLip is an entirely new design that combines the principle of a shaft sealing lip with the reliability and safety of a mechanical seal. The combination of PTFE sealing lip and sliding part is patented and can compensate any shaft deflection directly and reliably thanks to a special compensation function. Advantages of using the SeccoLip • Protects both the product and the environment • Minimizes maintenance and service work • Reliably handles challenging conditions The lip seal SeccoLip is ideal for machines such as agitators, mixers, kneaders and reactors whether they feature top, bottom or side entry drives. Self-priming centrifugal pump
The Gorman-Rupp T Series pump is a self-priming centrifugal pump specifically designed for pumping heavily contaminated wastewater. Even with increased levels of water contamination, the T Series has superior priming capabilities. The robust and almost maintenance-free design of the pump meets all expectations that professional users have of a centrifugal pump. Thanks to the patented Eradicator system, the T Series also does its job with increased levels of contamination in the form of fabric shreds, cardboard/paper, animal bones or kitchen waste residues.
