ZAG Engineering has been at home in steam production for 27 years.
We specialize in the planning, implementation and maintenance of steam systems in a wide variety of industries.
Our main suppliers, for whom we have taken over the Swiss commercial representation, are JUMAG steam systems and TLV fittings.
With our business partners we are able to supply the most important components and guarantee the best possible support.
Our services at a glance:
• Planning and execution of steam systems
• Maintenance and service of steam systems
• Steam trap tests
• Supply of spare parts and fittings.
Our large range of steam traps is available to you for your application: free-float and ball-float steam traps, thermal capsule steam traps and thermodynamic steam traps.
Products & services

PowerTrap® - Kondensatheber GP Serie
Condensate lifter for open systems The TLV PowerTrap® GP is a pump that pumps condensate and is powered by steam or compressed air, but without electricity. It is ideal for open systems* that collect the condensate from steam consumers in order to recover its heat energy and reuse the condensate. Ex-protection areas Steam or air serve as the driving medium for condensate lifters. The complete absence of any electrical energy supply makes the GP series ideally suited for explosion-proof areas. The product design allows for in-line maintenance. * for closed systems, see GT series

COSPECT® Druckminderventile mit integriertem Trockner & Kondensatableiter
COSPECT®'s integrated dirt strainer, the highly effective cyclone separator (SCE) and the integrated free-float steam trap (KA), prevent contaminants and rust from entering the pressure reducing valve or reaching its important components. The sophisticated cyclone separator in particular separates approx. 98% of the condensate contained in the pre-pressure steam and thereby largely reduces erosion-related damage to important components, such as the main valve. In a time with increasing demands on the service life of a pressure reducing valve, there are many COSPECT® users for whom the COSPECT® continues to work to their full satisfaction even after more than 10 years of use. This confirms the effectiveness of the special assemblies in COSPECT® to avoid problems due to contamination and condensate. In addition, the COSPECT® is ideal for increasing productivity and steam quality.

Cyclone Separators for Steam (with Built-in Trap) DC Series
Remove water droplets entrained in steam or air with TLV's DC series steam separators. The DC cyclone separators can be installed on steam lines and at the inlet side of equipment to enable removal of virtually all water droplets within the flow. This can significantly improve heat quality, preventing problems such as: Low Heating Efficiency Product Defects or Off-spec Erosion of piping or valve parts, and other related problems

Free Float® Steam Traps (Low Pressure) JX Series/FJ32 Series/SJ Series
Free Float® Steam Traps for Process Use JX series steam traps can be installed on various types of equipment that uses steam as a heat source. The series covers a wide range of condensate loads, from the 100’s of kg/h to several 10’s of tons/h, making this TLV's most widely used series of steam traps. In addition to offering compact size, continuous discharge of condensate, and large condensate discharge capacities, these steam traps are equipped with an X-element air-vent that provides a powerful automatic blow-out function. All these qualities gathered in one trap make the JX series ideal for steam-using equipment.

Check Valves CK Series
Check valves for steam and other fluids Disc and spring construction assures stable performance with installation in either vertical or horizontal pipelines. TLV CK series check valves are ideal for nearly all types of fluid processes with their high sealing performance in both vertical and horizontal piping and their rapid open-close mechanism Benefits and Features Small valve-opening pressure differential. Select between a metal valve seat or a soft valve seat for use with steam, water or air. Available in sizes up to 4 inch on some models. All stainless steel construction (CK3M/CK3T/CK3R also available in brass or bronze). Reliably Prevents Backflow Check valves utilize a mechanical sealing mechanism to prevent backflow. By providing a tight seal, backflow is safely avoided. Easy to Use Compact design. There are no restrictions on installation orientation (horizontal, vertical). After the valve has closed, it opens again at the slightest pressure differential. Long Service Life TLV’s unique center-guided disc (CK3MG, CKF3MG, CKF3RG) offers greater durability.

Steam Trap Stations QS10 Series
Compact All Stainless Steel Steam Trap Station Compact, reliable steam trap station for steam mains, tracers, and light processes. QuickStation enables condensate drainage from a wide range of applications, and inline replacement of universal flange steam traps in minutes. Application Areas Simplifying installation and maintenance of steam trap and peripheral equipment. Suitable for use where ease of steam trap installation and maintenance is critical, such as the pharmaceutical, food, and beverage industries, and for institutional use.

Steam System Analysis
At TLV, we are dedicated to optimizing plants’ entire steam and condensate systems. TLV has an extensive knowledge base and deep application expertise that goes well beyond steam traps and valves. TLV can provide you with expert advice on a wide range of applications, from the steam generator to the heat exchanger to condensate return system. We make full use of this know-how in our plant inspections. Together with your technical staff, we carry out a comprehensive survey of the entire steam and condensate system. The duration of the survey depends on the size of the plant, and it can be several days. We focus in particular on detecting and preventing water hammer. Within the scope of this analysis, we identify potential plant issues, make corresponding suggestions to resolve those issues and improve plant efficiency and safety. We calculate the energy savings you can expect to achieve from each of our suggestions, as well as the amount of time in which they can be implemented. This will give you an overview and help you to see which suggestions you can implement quickly. We call the measures that can be implemented fastest “QUICK HITS”. By addressing these first, you can start optimizing your plant in no time.
