In 1940, Arthur Welter and August Karrer founded WEKA GmbH with the goal of producing and distributing lead fittings and lead valves. The company grew rapidly and had to move to larger premises just two years later. Today, WEKA AG is primarily known for cryogenic components – in other words, for cold applications. Another strength of this Swiss medium-sized company is the production of specialty valves for niche markets and level measuring devices for liquids. WEKA supplies customers in over 100 countries. WEKA technology has proven itself under extreme conditions, for example, in space and on submarines.
