The company André Ramseyer LTD, referred to as Ramseyer, is specialised in consulting, distribution and revisions of safety and industrial valves. Furthermore it offers steam trap controls, a large store and trainings in the range of safety and energy. Since more than 75 years Ramseyer sets standards in the security technology with high quality when handling steam, gases, liquids and air.
The key product ranges of Ramseyer are the safety relief valves, the flame arrester, the steam traps, the stop valves, the control valves, the bursting Discs and the non-return valves. The products are used in all relevant application areas: in the chemistry, pharma & food, energy, production, gas, coldness and HVC.

Revisions, maintenance and servicing, steam traps measurements
Ramseyer is an SVTI authorised service centre for the inspection of safety relief valves. In our well-equipped workshop or on your site our experienced and professionally trained staff makes inspection of all current safety devices, including fittings from other manufacturers. In order to maximize the safety we recommend a regular maintenance and servicing of your plants. Maintenance contracts are ideal. Our experienced service technicians take care of everything and have an in-depth knowledge of your specific circumstances. Steam and condensate fittings should as well be inspected systematically. Our professionally performed steam traps measurements and the data base management could improve the energy efficiency in long term. Good service pays for itself. The most important product groups of Ramseyer are: the safety relief valves, safety devices, steam traps, stop valves, control valves, bursting discs and non-return valves. They are used in all relevant applications: chemistry, pharma & food, energy, production, gas, coldness and HVC.

Safety valves for hydrogen applications
More than 600 billion cubic meters of hydrogen are produced each year world-wide for the process industry. The technology for using hydrogen as an energy source in combustion engines or via fuel cells is now ready to replace petroleum products in the future. The advantages of hydrogen as an energy carrier are: • Neutral CO2-footprint • Flexible energy storage: in liquid or gaseous form • Power to X: flexible us as an energy supplier in fuel cells, fuel in combustion engines and as a coke substitute in steel production. With the addition of CO2, it can also be used as a fuel and combustible. Technical challenge for safety valves in hydrogen applications: • Storage and transport of hydrogen cryogenic (up to -253 °C) • in refuelling systems pressures of up to 900 bar for cold liquefied hydrogen, in future up to 900 bar • Use of materials being insensitive to hydrogen embrittlement Recommendation: • Austenitic steels (1.4404, 1.4408) for wetted parts • stellited discs and nozzles for cryogenic temperatures (from 150°C to absolute zero) for best sealing results

SISTO Diaphragm Valves
We have recently established ourselves as Sisto's new partner in Switzerland and will now be selling their high-quality diaphragm valves as well as industrial and aseptic valves. Sisto Armaturen SA, with around 200 employees, develops and produces diaphragm valves at its location in Echternach, Luxembourg, which are used in various areas of application. We attach great importance to the quality and rapid availability of the products and are proud to now be able to offer these high-quality valves in Switzerland.
